Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies

I have been making these cookies for over 20 years… GAH! am I really that old!?  Most days I actually forget that I am in my twenties.  Any-who, these are also my husband and dad’s favourite cookies as well.  I really haven’t had anyone NOT like them!  I wish I remember where the recipe is from but alas that knowledge is lost to me.  Without further ado…

My Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies

Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees F

  1. Mix together in a large bowl:
    • 1/2 Cup white sugar
    • 1/2 Cup brown sugar
    • 1/2 room temperature butter
    • 1egg
  2. Mix together in a separate bowl
    • 11/2 Cups all-purpose flour
    • 1/2 tsp baking soda
    • 1/2 tsp salt
  3. Mix dry ingredients into wet
  4. Stir in 1 Cup of chocolate chips (I like semi sweet and these are my all time favourite are PC Decadent Semi-Sweet chocolate chips)
  5. Drop onto cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 mins.  I like a crispy cookie so I go for 12min.  If you like softer go for 10min.
